Mercury at Sphere Las Vegas

Role: Creative Director / 3D Motion Designer / Visual Artist

Mercury was created for Sphere’s XO/Art program and displayed on the Exosphere from May through August 2024.

I developed the original artwork and adapted it to Sphere’s curved, ultra-large LED canvas in collaboration with its technical team. The composition was designed to preserve color, detail and visual impact across the entire exterior surface and from multiple viewpoints.

The result was a large-scale animated artwork combining digital sculpture, motion, light and architectural scale.

MOTION AT ARCHITECTURAL SCALE

The movement was designed specifically for Sphere’s continuous curved surface. Pacing, transitions and composition were developed to guide attention while keeping the artwork clear and coherent at an enormous scale.
